 Recently a married, middle aged man with two teenage children who was unemployed and had suffered from depression and chronic back pain for 30 years was asked what his biggest challenge in life at the moment was. He replied, “I’m lonely, I sit in my house all day alone, I have no friends and no real life for myself... loneliness is by far my biggest challenge.”
